great performance by the artist, the venue...not so much
The lawn was a sea of people, with standing room only, shoulder to shoulder. This oversight made movement difficult and contributed to the missing of a couple great songs. I believe this was because the venue originally did not allow chairs and blankets when they set the lawn's capacity, but they now allow these items and did not adjust the lawn's capacity to reflect the lack of room caused by the additional chairs and blankets. After some research, it appears the venue did not oversell the show, but it sure felt that way at the time. I definitely look forward to future Waitress shows, just not at the Virginia Beach amphitheater.
